WATCH: Remy Ma With Lil Kim On New Single ‘Wake Me Up’

In the visual for Remy Ma’s new song Wake Me Up, assisted by Lil Kim, the Bronx rapper makes time run backward. The track is a throwback to Kim’s Bad Boy classic Queen Bitch and flips the same Roberta Flack sample. Wake Me Up is poised to be the lead single for the forthcoming album 7 Winters and 6 Summers for which Remy has reportedly signed a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia.

One of the lines of the song has people scratching their heads.  In her second verse, Remy drops a bar about Nicole Kidman and OJ that sounds hot but doesn’t really make sense, especially since it appears to be a shot at fellow NY rapper Nicki Minaj. Minaj, who took a few shots of her own on No Frauds, is making waves of her own with a scintillating new cover for Paper Magazine. Realizing her slip up, Remy Ma explained that line and the rest of the song to Genius. If you’re feeling the vibe you can cop the song here.
