Was Omarosa Fired from the White House,Or Did She Resign?

Omarosa, you’re fired! That’s the word on the street. Or did she resign?

On Wednesday, the reality TV villain announced that she resigned from her “job” as communications director for the Office of Public Liaison, which reportedly earned her a cushy $179,700 per year.

Urban Radio Networks correspondent and Washington bureau chief April Ryan, however, spilled the tea that Omarosa Manigault Newman was actually escorted from the White House kicking and screaming. “According to multiple sources Omarosa did not resign. She was even escorted out of he building and off campus,” Ryan tweeted.

Manigault Newman vehemently denies this account.

Speaking with ABC on Thursday morning, the former reality television star claimed that she resigned after a conversation with White House chief of staff John Kelly in the Situation Room and did not confront him during a White House Christmas Party or try to get into the White House residence to ask President Donald Trump about her dismissal.

Manigault Newman called the reports of a dramatic confrontation with Kelly “100% false.”

As reported by CNN, the United States Secret Service has also denied reports that they physically escorted her out of the White House.

“Reporting regarding Secret Service personnel physically removing Omarosa Manigault Newman from the @WhiteHouse complex is incorrect,” the Secret Service Twitter account tweeted. “The Secret Service was not involved in the termination process of Ms Manigault Newman or the escort off of the complex. Our only involvement in this matter was to deactivate the individual’s pass which grants access to the complex.”

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders announced on Wednesday that Manigault Newman, one of Trump’s most high-profile African-American supporters, would resign her role as the top communications official at the White House Office of Public Liaison and leave on January 20, 2018, one year to the day after Trump took office.

Trump tweeted, “Thank you Omarosa for your service! I wish you continued success.” In other words, don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

Whatever happened, this is the Christmas present that keeps on giving. In our opinion, Manigault Newman is just as power hungry and narcissistic as Trump and not many in the black community will shed a tear for her White House exit (except for maybe her immediate family).  If Trump fired Omarosa, it wouldn’t be the first time, so what did she expect?

And if she actually resigned – as new reports suggest because she was disappointed in Trump’s defense of white nationalists during the race riot in Charlottesville, Virginia over the summer, what else did she expect?

A White House official told Buzzfeed the former The Apprentice contestant “struggled with being an African-American senior staffer with all the racial incidents in the White House.”
