WATCH: Oprah and Ava DuVernay Work Their Magic in Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time Reboot

Oprah fans rejoice! Disney is remaking their 2003 TV movie A Wrinkle In Time into a feature film for the big screen and everyone’s favorite former talk show host is adding her star power to this sci-fi classic. The movie is based on Madeleine L’Engle’s classic young adult novel of the same name and this time around it is directed by visionary director Ava DuVernay of Selma fame. The story is a wonderful mix of magic and quantum physics and stars Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon as the three intergalactic guides that show two gifted youth how to travel across time and space. Many Generation-Xers and Millennials will remember this story from their days in the middle school library and the updated version has a definite West Coast feel. Storm Reid plays the main protagonist alongside Levi Miller. Chris Pine, who is no stranger to outer space given his recent stint as a young Captain Kirk in the Star Trek universe, plays a key role opposite Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Michael Peña and Zach Galifianakis have supporting roles.  A Wrinkle in Time is set to hit theaters on March 9, 2018.
