LiAngelo Ball And 2 UCLA Teammates Arrested In China

Laker’s rookie Lonzo Ball has been trying to find his groove in the NBA.  Finding out his brother LiAngelo was arrested for shoplifting in China is certainly not helping the situation. ESPN reported that the middle Ball brother was detained by Chinese police, along with two other UCLA players (Cody Riley and Jalen Hill), after they were suspected of shoplifting sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store in Hangzhou, China. All three have been released on bail, which is rare in China and is likely due to the players’ US citizenship. All three players that were arrested missed the UCLA season opener against Georgia Tech being played in the Chinese city.
Ball family patriarch LaVar and the rest of the family (minus Lonzo) were in China filming their reality show “Ball in the Family” but are remaining tight-lipped about the incident. Apparently, Lonzo is focusing on his game and has not contacted his brother or the rest of the family regarding the matter. In related news, youngest brother LaMelo Ball has become the first high school athlete to have his own signature shoe. Episodes of Ball in the Family can be streamed on Facebook.
