Guess Who’s Back? Anthony Anderson Will Host The 49th NAACP Image Awards

The 49th annual NAACP Image Awards are returning to TV One and funny man Anthony Anderson is resuming hosting duties. Like Erykah Badu and her role as the host of the Soul Train Awards, this will be the third year in a row the Black-ish star will serve as the host for this particular awards show.

Issa Rae, Ava DuVernay, Chadwick Boseman, Bruno Mars, Chance the Rapper, and Jay-Z are all nominated for “Entertainer of the Year”, which is open to public voting until Friday, November 17 on the NAACP Image Awards website.

Anderson, an Image Award recipient himself (and an Emmy-nominated actor) is sure to have plenty of jokes ready for the live broadcast. Catch him in action on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 15, 2018, at 8/9pm central on TV One.
