Groom Saves Drowning Boy During Wedding Photos

Imagine you’re having the time of your life – a wedding photo shoot. You’re enraptured with your sweet heart, enjoying the magical moment, when you notice a boy struggling to swim in the river. Clayton and Brittany Cook were posing for pictures and found themselves in such a position in a park bridge in Kitchener, Ontario.  Clayton didn’t hesitate and had no qualms about messing up his wedding attire. He jumped in the water and fished the boy out.

Their wedding photographer, captured the heroic effort and posted them for all the world to see on his Facebook page.

Clayton shared with the BBC what was going on in his head at the time, “For several minutes these kids were following us, and I was just keeping an eye on them because they were standing close to the water. Then while Brittany was getting her solo shots taken I realized only two were standing on the rock ledge. I saw the boy in the water struggling to keep his head up. That’s when I jumped down.”

Who knows what would have happened? Brittany told the BBC, “Now it’s hitting us more that if we weren’t in the right place at the right time, things may have gone differently and perhaps even tragically.”

If Brittany wasn’t 100% sure she had married a good man, she’s got the proof that yes, she made a good decision. With such a good deed done, they start their marriage with much good karma.
