Eve Is The New Co-host of ‘The Talk’ On CBS

Ruff Ryder’s First Lady started a new gig this week, as a co-host of CBS’ The Talk. The Grammy-winning rapper has been guest hosting since October and now that she is official, audiences will be seeing her every episode.  The talented musician is not new to TV or movies for that matter. She has acted alongside fellow rappers Mos Def (The Woodsman) and Ice Cube (the Barbershop Franchise) and was also the main character in the UPN sitcom Eve, named after the multi-talented star.

In related news, Eve got some feelings off her chest in response to fellow Barbershop star Nicki Minaj. According to XXL Eve had this to say about Nicki’s risque Paper Magazine cover. “I worked with Nicki, I got to know her on ‘Barbershop. She’s a nice person, she’s an amazing rapper, and as a lyricist I respect her…but as a woman, from my point of view, personally, I would not be able to do that. I think in this climate, it’s not good. I think every artist has a right to express themselves however they want to express themselves and I respect that as well. For me personally, as I started coming up in the business, I started realizing that young girls were looking up to me and younger people were looking up to me, and that, not that you want to be a role model, but it becomes what you become, it is what you are.”

Minaj fans fired back and brought up Eve’s past indiscretions and nudes but they did not seem to phase the Philly bred rapper.  If this is any indication of how Eve is going to share her mind in the future, The Talk is sure to be a lot more interesting.
